Hello Kitty is coming to the Silver Screen

Everyone’s favorite Kitty is coming to a theater near you in 2019.

Sanrio announced yesterday their intent to create a movie surrounding the adventures of the most recognizable animated cat in the world.  The film will be produced at Sanrio’s American subsidiary, Sanrio Media & Pictures Entertainment, which was established in June.  Their intent is to expand their reach into animated movies and digital content.

The project cost is expected to total 20 billion yen ($162 million) to 30 billion yen.

Godzilla Hotel Open In Shinjuku

I have found a new hotel that I want to visit in Japan!

I’m sure I won’t be the only one as this hotel is graced with the presence of the King of Monsters himself glaring down on the people of Shinjuku!

The Hotel Gracery revealed its newest occupant on April 24th to much fanfare.  There are 2 rooms to be rented.  The Godzilla Viewing room, where his red eyes constantly peer in on you awake or asleep, and The Godzilla room, where his giant claws smash down through the ceiling above the beds.  The Godzilla Room is also filled with reproductions of posters and collectibles.  Each room also has its own specific amenities and gifts.

They only allow you to book the rooms online.  (I can only imagine that they are sold out for quite awhile!)
